Ever wonder "how" to go to a certain place the first time?
Or you tried searching on google or yahoo on "how" but couldn't find the answer?
I feel yah.
Let me share my experience on how i went to DFA La Union, my first time. (:
I am from ilocos norte, and that only takes 4 hours ride via bus to La Union (from Laoag). I took the 1am trip on Partas Bus since there's no other buses that have scheduled trips on an early hours (my appointment time @ DFA is 9am-10am, that gives me alot of time to eat & settle before i head to their office). I reached San Fernando around 6am probably because of all the road being constructed. I stopped at city plaza and ate at mc donald nearby. I think i spent almost an hour settling myself and searching on google map on how to get there. Google map tells me that its just a corner somewhere on the block. Note, i typed "DFA La Union" on the search button. Thinking i have alot of spare time, i decided to walk and follow the navigation of my so called google map. After alot of walking, i didn't find what i am looking for. I asked people but it led me to nowhere :'( that's when i decided to take a tricycle. And guess what? The location was very far from what the google map tells me so!
Fact: DFA La Union is just right at the main road; mc arthur highway/manila road right infront of Oasis Resort. So you can just simply get off the bus right infront of DFA. Also, they have carinderias/stores/canteen nearby.
Yes, as it turns out, DFA La Union wasn't suppose to hard to find! ;) ;) ;)
Moreover, this is out of the topic but ill include it here as well thus it might as well help. As you know, they have appointment system now, i found out that "appointment time" doesn't really matter. You get in the line as soon as you get there. (Note: there are walk in applicants too!). My appointment was at 9am but i was able to get in early so i am finished renewing my passport @ 8:30am. As the saying goes, early bird catches the early worm ;) ;) ;)
